ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Most places seem like a ghost town on Christmas Day, but that won’t be the case at several area casinos. Several casinos are not only doing the Christmas cooking for you, but also serving up some exciting promotions that could help pay off those holiday debts.
SANTA ANA STAR CASINO: A good meal and fun await you this Christmas Day. Enjoy the Christmas Day Prime Rib Feast from noon-9 p.m. Wednesday at The Feast Buffet. It’s all you can eat and only $15.95 for adults.
Star Rewards Club members can enjoy Christmas Double Day and get double the points on their club member cards. Be part of $100 hot seats from 1 p.m.-midnight on Wednesday. Also, $50 will be awarded to individuals seated at the right or left of each hot seat winner.
Star Rewards Club members also will earn twice the entries on Wednesday toward Santa Ana Star Casino’s Year of the Mustang promotion. On other days, Star Rewards Club members receive one entry for every 1,000 points or one hour of table play through Jan. 1, 2014. The drawing will be held at 8 p.m. Jan. 1 for a 2014 Ford Mustang, tax and license are included.
SANDIA RESORT & CASINO: Hungry? Sandia is offering you three ways to take care of that this Christmas with special holiday menus at its Council Room and Bien Shur restaurants. The Council Room’s Christmas menu will be available from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Wednesday for $29 per adult. Reservations are recommended at Bien Shur, which will offer its holiday menu from 2-8:30 p.m. Wednesday for $55 per person.
If you’re seeking a little taste of everything, head to the Thur Shan Buffet from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday. The buffet is $22.95 for adults and $12.95 for children ages 12 and younger.
Play the slots and take part in Sandia’s “$12,000 Days of Christmas” promotion with $250,000 in cars, cash and free slot play being given away during hot-seat drawings.

The game will automatically appear on a guest’s slot machine at the top of the hour once he or she has reached a minimum of 25 points. Once the game begins, each guest can choose a specific horse to win the race for his or her share of the purse.
Every Friday through the end of December, The Downs will feature “Friday Cold Hard Cash” that will offer six separate $200 cash giveaways every hour between 4 p.m.-1 a.m. But, it doesn’t stop there. Each Sunday through December, patrons can participate in the “Triple Crown Holiday Slot Tournament” from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Guests who earn 100 base points can participate in the slot tournament and compete for his or her share of $2,000 in prizes.
ISLETA RESORT & CASINO: A Christmas buffet is calling you at Isleta Resort & Casino’s Bow Tie Bistro. The buffet includes marinated grilled chicken breast with pomegranate and cherry glaze, sliced ham with currant and orange glaze, soups, three-cheese au gratin potatoes, desserts and more. The feast will be available from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday for $13.95 per person or $8.95 for children ages 3-10.
